Trouble in Mind by Alice Childress

Melissa will be directing Alice Childress' provocative play Trouble in Mind at Rutger University as part of Mason Gross School of The Performing Arts' 20th Century Project.
Lost Sock Laundry by Ivan Faute

Melissa will be directing a reading of Lost Sock Laundry by Ivan Faute at Theatre Row as part of The Broadway Bound Theatre Festival.

Melissa will be directing a new work by playwright, Brittany Fisher, as part of Cadence Theatre Company's Pipeline New Works Fellowship. In partnership with Virginia Repertory Theatre, the Pipeline New Works Fellowships gives emerging playwrights the opportunity to develop new work under the guidance and mentorship of playwright, David Lindsay-Abaire.
New Collaboration with Director, Melody Erfani
Melissa will be starring in and collaborating on a new work with, director, Melody Erfani. The play will explore the live of the Fossett Family, a family of slaves owned by Thomas Jefferson. The piece will be presented as part a Drama League new work residency.
Melissa Becomes Associate Member of SDC
Melissa has been accepted into The Stage Directors and Choreographer's Society as an Associate Member.

Melissa will be observing director, Patricia McGregor, on her show Lights Out: Nat "King" Cole at The Geffen Playhouse in LA. This opportunity is provide by the SDCF Observership program.

Melissa is currently working with playwright, Jared Chambers on his newest work, Lone Star. More information to come
Stage Managing My Sister, My Sister at HB Playwrights Theater

Melissa will be stage managing "My Sister, My Sister", directed by Arthur French.
Class of 2018
Melissa has been accepted into the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation Observership Program. This program aims to give early and mid-career directors and choreographers access to rooms and collaborative spaces that are otherwise difficult to enter into.
2018 - 2019
Melissa will be working with The New Group, an Off-Broadway theatre company, during its 24th Season. She will be working cross-departmentally to continue to provide opportunities to audiences and artists of all backgrounds.
